Since most recently-created works are copyrighted, almost any book on Wikibooks which cites sources will link to copyrighted material. It is usually not necessary to obtain the permission of a copyright holder before linking to copyrighted material, just as an author of a dead-tree book does not need permission to cite someone else's work in their bibliography. Likewise, Wikibooks is not restricted to linking only to CC-BY-SA or open-source content.

 

 

If you are the owner of content that is being used on Wikibooks without your permission, then please contact our [[wmf:Designated agent|designated agent]] to have it permanently removed (blanking the page is not enough, it will still be in the page history). You may also blank the page and replace it with {{tlx|copyvio|''URL or place you published the text''}}. Either way, we will, of course, need some evidence to support your claim of ownership. This will automatically add the page to [[:Category:Copyright violations]] which is reviewed by administrators at Wikibooks.
